Officers

The officers are team members who want to take an active role in the direction of GAS/Intrinsik cycling. Officers must be self-motivated and passionate about the team, but don't necessarily need to be active racers. The officers include the folks who plan races, secure sponsorship, design the jerseys, run the website, and coordinate community events.

Responsibilities:

  • A specific officer duty (i.e. race director, community event coordinator, apparel order manager, etc.)
  • A year-round commitment to take part in planning team activities through regular meetings and email correspondence
  • Volunteering at team events

Benefits:

  • An active voice in all team affairs
  • Allowance for team apparel
  • Free or discounted gear from sponsors
  • Discounts at Gallatin Alpine Sports

Race Team

The Race Team is the heart and soul of GAS/Intrinsik. These are the guys and gals traveling across Montana (and beyond) each season and flying the GAS/Intrinsik colors at all types of competitive cycling events.

Requirements for all:

  • Volunteer for at least one team event
  • Races must be USA Cycling sanctioned
  • Jersey must have been worn during events

Benefits:

To qualify for pro-deal eligibility, you must plan on racing (any combination of Road/MTB/Cyclocross) and/or volunteering at least 7 times.  You can combine racing and volunteering, but you must volunteer at least once.  Tuesday-nighters don't count for races.  Volunteering includes helping at a race or community event that we put on or being a group ride leader.  We go on the honor system, so nobody will hunt you down and take away your gear at the end of the season if you only do 6.  If you're not sure about your racing and volunteering plans this year, use your best judgment.  We want to encourage people to get race and be involved with the team, and this is just another incentive.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Are you interested in joining the GAS/Intrinsik Team?

  • If you haven’t already done so, check our team Mission, Core Values, and our Team Member’s Expectations and Privileges page.
  • Talk to a team member and/or send us an email at gascyclingteam at gmail dot com.  Tell us about yourself and why you are interested in joining the team.  Ask us any questions that you might have about the team.
(Note: We strongly encourage you to participate in some team rides, practices, and/or other activities. It is the best way to find out if the team is right for you, and vice-versa.   We can point you to some options for team activities depending on your interests and the season.)
  • If you and the current team members agree that you will be a good fit for the team, you will be added to the roster, become eligible for team benefits, and be able to order all the apparel you need when the next round of orders goes through.  You will be added to the team email list so you can stay up to date on team activities, race car-pooling, gear ordering, etc.
