After some much needed recovery following a grueling race weekend in the Tetons, Dave and I headed north for the "Whitefish Whiteout" this past weekend.  Though the fields were a bit smaller, some tough competition was served up from local favorite Ben Parsons along with a contingent of strong Canadian racers.  In the end the day belonged to our friend Ben, who was able to hold off a trio of hard charging Cannucks to take the victory on his home mountain.  I was happy with a 5th place finish and was able to keep the leaders in sight for much of the race which is a first for me.  Dave had a really good race as well, battling it out for the next position but ultimatley settling for 7th on the day.  For a great recap of the race check out the race report from skintrack.com.

The weekend was completed with an incredible tour Sunday in the Middle Fork of the Flathead, just outside of Glacier National Park.

A very large group was mainly composed of racers from the previous day.

Though the snow was a bit "variable", the views were world class from the summit of Mt. Penrose.

Next up: our hometown race, "Skin to Win" at Bridger Bowl in 2 weeks!
